Job summary

Antal is seeking an Accounting Lead – GL, Tax & Statutory Reporting to join its European finance team in Kraków. You will own end-to-end accounting for Polish entities and select EU markets, ensuring compliance and driving process improvements in a fast-paced international environment.

The role requires 7+ years of multi-entity experience, strong knowledge of Polish tax rules, and proficiency with ERP systems like SAP or NetSuite, along with advanced Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance; ACCA or equivalent is a plus.
• 7+ years of accounting experience in a multi-entity and/or international environment.
• Strong knowledge of Polish statutory accounting, VAT, and Corporate Income Tax regulations.
• Familiarity with accounting requirements in at least one other European country (e.g. Germany, Netherlands, Denmark, or France).
• Hands-on experience with month-end close, reconciliations, accruals, and intercompany accounting.
• Experience working with external accounting providers and auditors.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end accounting for European legal entities, with a focus on Poland and selected EU countries.
• Ensure compliance with Polish accounting, VAT, and CIT regulations, while supporting statutory requirements in other European markets.
• Prepare and review VAT and Corporate Income Tax returns.
• Coordinate external accounting firms, tax advisors, and auditors across multiple countries.
• Lead month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
• Support statutory and group audits by preparing documentation and responding to audit requests.
• Collaborate with Finance, Tax, and Treasury teams on cross-border accounting matters.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and increase efficiency.
