Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Network Operations Engineer to join our 24x7 team responsible for the reliability, performance, and availability of our large-scale network infrastructure.

The role includes monitoring, incident response, and collaboration with cross-functional groups to support CDN and cloud compute platforms. You will design and maintain alerts, runbooks, dashboards, and automation, participate in incident reviews, and ensure effective fault diagnosis and

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience operating and supporting large-scale network environments.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and customer service skills.
• Strong expertise in IP networking, routing, and switching; CCNA, JNCIA, or equivalent certifications desirable.
• Experience operating and troubleshooting service provider networks and Internet routing protocols (BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, MPLS).
• Experience writing, modifying, and troubleshooting SQL queries.

As a Senior Network Operations Engineer you will be responsible for:

• Monitoring and maintaining network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security across all systems and components.
• Troubleshooting complex network issues and coordinating resolution efforts to minimize downtime and service disruptions.
• Leading and supporting the resolution of critical technical incidents effectively and efficiently to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Providing expertise during incident response and conducting operational reviews to ensure thorough analysis and effective resolution.
• Designing, developing, and maintaining alerts, runbooks, dashboards, and monitoring solutions to enhance fault detection and operational visibility effectively.
