Job summary

Tieto is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, configure, implement and operate complex network and security solutions. You will troubleshoot LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, firewall and NGFW environments while ensuring performance and security.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in network administration.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Fortinet, or Check Point NGFW environments.
• Strong knowledge of L2/L3 networking protocols (STP, LACP, 802.1X, OSPF, BGP).
• TCP/IP stack knowledge: DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP, ICMP.
• Experience with wireless services deployment and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of VPN solutions and encryption services.
• Familiar with network monitoring tools and reporting.
• Able to investigate and resolve complex network problems.
• Basic Windows and Linux operating systems understanding.
• Strong communication and customer-focused mindset; English: Upper-Intermediate+.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, implement, and operate complex network and security solutions.
• Troubleshoot LAN, WLAN, WAN, VPN, firewall, and NGFW environments.
• Perform patch management of network solutions.
• Monitor network performance and capacity; identify improvement opportunities.
• Analyze network issues and their impact on customers’ business.
• Enforce policies, standards, and guidelines to secure network systems.
• Monitor operational status, gather information, provide reporting.
• Provide remote technical support to on-site engineers and customers.
• Translate technical requirements into suitable network solutions.
• Proactively identify improvements to services and solutions.
• Stay up to date with relevant network technologies, services, products.
