Job summary

Tieto Tech Consulting seeks a Senior Network Engineer in Kraków to design, configure, implement and operate complex network and security solutions. You will work with LAN, WLAN, WAN, VPN, firewall and NGFW technologies, ensuring performance, reliability and security for customers and on-site engineers.

The role requires 5+ years in network administration and hands-on experience with Cisco, Fortinet or Check Point NGFW environments, plus strong TCP/IP, OSPF/BGP, 802.1X knowledge.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in network administration.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Fortinet, or Check Point Next-Generation Firewall environments.
• Strong knowledge of L2/L3 networking protocols (STP, LACP, 802.1X, OSPF, BGP).
• Solid TCP/IP knowledge (DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP, ICMP).
• Experience with wireless services, VPNs, and encryption.
• Experience with network monitoring tools and protocols.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Customer-focused mindset and strong communication.
• English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate level or higher.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, implement and operate complex network and security solutions.
• Troubleshoot LAN, WLAN, WAN, VPN, firewall, and NGFW environments.
• Perform patch management of network solutions.
• Monitor network performance and capacity and identify improvement opportunities.
• Analyze network issues and their impact on customers’ business.
• Establish and enforce network security policies, standards and guidelines.
• Provide remote technical support to on-site engineers and end users.
• Translate technical requirements into suitable network solutions.
• Proactively identify and propose improvements to services and solutions.
• Stay up to date with relevant network technologies, services and products.
