Job summary

Tieto is seeking a Senior Network Engineer in Poznań to design, implement, and operate complex network and security solutions across LAN, WLAN, WAN, VPN, and firewall environments.

You will troubleshoot, monitor performance, and ensure reliability and security of customer networks, while supporting on-site engineers and remote teams. The role requires 5+ years of experience and strong Cisco/ Fortinet/Check Point expertise.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in network administration.
• 5+ years of experience maintaining Cisco, Fortinet, or Check Point NGFW environments.
• Strong knowledge of L2/L3 networking protocols (STP, LACP, L2 security, 802.1X, OSPF, BGP).
• TCP/IP stack protocols (DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP, ICMP).
• Hands-on wireless deployment and troubleshooting.
• Experience with VPN solutions and encryption services.
• Experience with network monitoring tools.
• Basic Windows and Linux OS understanding.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Customer-focused mindset and strong communication skills.
• English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate level or higher.

In this role, you will design, configure, implement, and operate complex network and security solutions, troubleshoot network environments, and ensure their performance, reliability, and security. Who we are looking for

• You have 5+ years of experience in network administration
• 5+ years of professional experience maintaining Cisco, Fortinet, or Check Point Next-Generation Firewall environments
• Strong knowledge of L2/L3 networking protocols and technologies, including STP, LACP, L2 security, 802.1X, OSPF, and BGP
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP stack protocols, including DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP, and ICMP
• Hands-on experience with wireless services, including deployment and troubleshooting
• Good understanding of VPN solutions and encryption services
• Experience with network monitoring tools and a strong understanding of network protocols
• Ability to quickly investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex network problems
• Basic understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Customer-focused mindset and strong communication skills
• English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate level or higher

Will be an advantage

• Cisco CCNP Enterprise certification
• Fortinet NSE 4 certification
• Check Point CCSA certification
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP public cloud environments
• AZ-700 certification or equivalent
• Experience with Meraki cloud deployments
• Automation skills with Python, Bash scripting, APIs, Ansible, Terraform, or similar technologies
