Westinghouse Electric Poland LLC in Krakow is seeking a Senior Engineer – Networking to support the global network, perform vulnerability remediations, and manage operational tasks in our Network Operations team.

The role offers hybrid work with 2 days in the office, engagement with senior engineers, and opportunities for network automation and disaster recovery configuration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT Engineering or related field required.
• 5+ years hands-on experience in network support and troubleshooting.
• Experience with global engineering and manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge across network, telecom and firewall domains.
• Project management experience on small to medium projects.

Responsibilities

• Resolve incidents from the network operations ticketing queue.
• Perform vulnerability remediations for the network.
• Maintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure.</br>Note: line omitted; kept concise.
• Monitor network performance and optimize accordingly.
• Respond to priority incidents and support disaster recovery configurations.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on network improvement projects.

Reporting to the Network Operations Supervisor, as a Senior Engineer – Networking you will perform operational tasks as part of the Network Operations team. This involves operational support of our global network, vulnerability remediations and working out of our service queue. You will work in hybrid mode with 2 days at the office.

Responsibilities

• Resolve incidents out of the network operations ticketing queue.
• Work through vulnerability remediations.
• Support the maintenance and troubleshooting of network infrastructure.
• Support network monitoring and performance optimization.
• Support the response to priority incidents.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on network improvement projects.
• Support network monitoring.
• Help implement network automation.
• Ensuring redundancy and disaster recovery configurations are in place, coaching the team where needed.
• Perform any other related tasks prioritized by the Network Services Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in IT Engineering or related field.
• Experience in a complex, global engineering and manufacturing organization.
• High level of understanding in the network, telecom and firewall fields.
• Experience in project managing small projects.
• Experience providing complex, global projects.
• Open to travel once or twice a year for projects or team building sessions.
• 5+ years' experience hands‑on support and troubleshooting of networks.
• Proficient in Cisco routers and switches, Arista switches and Cloud Vision Portal, Nexus switches, Python, SolarWinds NCM, Aruba Clear Pass Policy Manager, Cisco Prime/DNA, Cisco/Arista Wireless, Cisco SDWAN – all preferred.

The gross base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be 11,416 to 14,266 PLN gross per month. In addition to the base pay, this role may be eligible for incentive pay based on company and individual performance.
