Solidgate is building the ML/AI foundation for real-time payment routing. You will be among the first engineers to shape this greenfield direction, collaborating with the ML team to drive scalable, production-ready solutions.

You’ll design core models, run experiments from idea to production, and deliver measurable business impact across 20M+ orders monthly with 100M+ transactions. This remote role includes generous perks and international collaboration.

About the Team and Role

This is a foundational hire on ML/AI direction at Solidgate — you'll be one of the first engineers building the function from the ground up, working closely with the ML team to shape it.

You’ll help stand up the ML/AI direction from scratch — on top of 20M+ orders and 100M+ transactions a month. The next big step is a realtime ML payment routing. That's the space you'll be building in.

What you’ll own

• Design and build core ML models and pipelines as part of a true greenfield direction, not a maintenance handover
• A real-time ML decisioning system with direct revenue impact
• Hands-on experimentation — from idea, through A/B testing, to production
• Integrations of cutting-edge AI technologies to drive innovation
• Close partnership with Product, Engineering, and the Data Platform team (who will help with data and MLOps) to solve hard modelling problems and build orchestrated training and analytics pipelines
• Clear communication of technical results to both engineers and cross-functional stakeholders

You’re a great fit if you have

• 4-5+ years in ML or Data Science, with hands-on production experience in classical predictive models (e.g. credit scoring, fraud, risk, recommendations, pricing)
• Track record of shipping ML models end-to-end, from idea to production, in a real product environment and being able to show their business impact in numbers (conversion, approval rate, losses, revenue)
• Strong data science fundamentals
• Hands-on experience with A/B testing and experimentation design
• Feature engineering on high-cardinality transactional data
• A driver mindset: you can walk into a greenfield space, figure out what to build, propose it, and own it through delivery
• Great communication skills and comfort working with a wide range of stakeholders

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech, payments, fraud, or risk
• Real-time / low-latency ML serving
