Job summary

Sii Poland in Kraków is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for an Automotive Compute project. You will develop 3D CAD models in NX/Teamcenter, apply GD&T, and prepare models for thermal/structural analysis, plus prototype manufacturing support.

The role requires 5+ years in automotive electronics hardware, plastic part design, and strong English communication within an international environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience with Siemens NX 11/12.
• Extensive automotive industry background, especially electronic hardware.
• Proven plastic part and die-cast component design experience.
• Strong GD&T knowledge and ability to apply it in designs.
• Experience in creating and maintaining technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify 3D CAD models in NX/Teamcenter according to project needs.
• Create and maintain technical documentation with GD&T.
• Prepare models for thermal and structural analysis and prototyping.
• Support release of documentation using Teamcenter and GES.

Job description

We are looking for a skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Kraków, focusing on an Automotive Compute project. You will play a crucial role in mechanical design activities within the NX/Teamcenter environment, utilizing your expertise in automotive product development and technical documentation. This position requires a strong understanding of plastic component design and GD&T principles, and it offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, international engineering environment. Your tasks

• Independently developing and modifying 3D CAD models in the NX/Teamcenter environment according to project requirements and engineering standards
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation while applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles
• Preparing and optimizing 3D models for thermal and structural analysis, as well as prototype manufacturing activities
• Participating in the release process for technical documentation using Teamcenter and GES
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary project teams to ensure timely completion of design deliverables
• Supporting design reviews and the implementation of engineering changes throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience using Siemens NX 11/NX 12
• At least 5 years of working in the automotive industry, preferably in the development of automotive electronic hardware products
• Proven experience in plastic part design and die-cast component design
• Practical knowledge of Teamcenter
• Strong understanding and practical application of GD&T principles
• Experience creating and maintaining manufacturing and technical documentation
• Ability to work independently and manage assigned deliverables with minimal supervision
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English

Nice to have

• Experience with sheet metal design is considered an advantage
• Strong team collaboration skills and experience working in international engineering environments
