Job summary

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Manual QA experience across Web, Backend, and Mobile testing.
• Experience with QA tools such as Postman, Swagger, SoapUI, TestFlight, Charles.
• Proficient in bug tracking and version control systems (Git, Bitbucket, SVN).
• Familiar with Test Management tools such as TestRail or Zephyr.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough manual testing of Web, BackEnd, and Mobile applications.
• Develop and execute test plans, checklists, and test cases.
• Identify, record, and track bugs with detailed repro steps.
• Collaborate with developers, BAs, product managers, and UI/UX designers.
• Participate in all aspects of the SDLC from requirements to post-release support.
• Test APIs and services by verifying data across systems.
• Work with the automation team to identify automation opportunities.
• Ensure test results are reproducible and documented.
• Participate in hiring processes as part of the senior team.

Newfire is seeking a Senior Manual QA Engineer to join a healthcare project focused on vaccine management through a mobile application designed for nurses. The solution will support the handling, administration, documentation, and registration of vaccine doses for patients, integrating with the Epic ecosystem, the Epic Rover mobile application, and customer systems. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of the solution through comprehensive manual testing of mobile applications, APIs, and end-to-end workflows, helping validate seamless functionality and integration across the entire platform.

What’s the Project?

The project focuses on developing a mobile application designed to support nurses in managing the vaccination process. The solution will enable healthcare professionals to efficiently handle, administer, document, and register doses of different vaccines for patients.

From an architectural perspective, the solution will integrate with the Epic ecosystem, including the Epic Rover mobile application, as well as the customer’s systems.

The quality assurance scope will cover comprehensive manual testing of the mobile application, API testing, and end-to-end validation to ensure the solution functions reliably across all integrated components and workflows.

Your day-to-day activities:

• Experience Level: 3+ years of experience in Manual QA, with exposure to Web, BackEnd, and Mobile application testing.
• Testing Tools & Frameworks: Experience with QA tools such as:
  • For Web Testing: Browser developer tools, Postman, or similar tools.
  • For BackEnd Testing: API testing tools like Postman, Swagger, or SoapUI.
  • For Mobile Testing: Experience with testing tools like TestFlight, Charles or similar tools.
• Bug Tracking Tools: Proficiency with bug tracking and task management tools.
• Version Control: Experience with version control systems such as Git, Bitbucket, or SVN.
• Test Management: Experience with test management tools such as TestRail or Zephyr or similar tools.
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on problem-solving.
• Ability to understand and translate business requirements into testing strategies.
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• A proactive approach with a drive to continuously improve processes and systems.
• High level of self-motivation, commitment, and dedication to the task at hand.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Basic knowledge of SQL for database verification.
• Knowledge of performance AI testing tools is a plus.

• Work closely with the automation team to identify opportunities for automation within manual testing processes.
• Ensure that all test results are accurate, reproducible, and recorded.
