Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced leader to define and execute the Application Lifecycle Management strategy for Group & Enterprise Applications. You will build governance, operating models and capabilities to manage the GEA landscape.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team across governance, portfolio management, risk, compliance, and service ownership, while partnering with Security and Enterprise Architecture to align lifecycle decisions with target architecture.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in enterprise IT leadership, application governance, IT strategy, or related disciplines.
• Proven experience establishing or transforming enterprise-scale capabilities, operating models or governance frameworks.
• Experience leading large-scale application transformation, rationalization, modernization or consolidation initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of application portfolio management, lifecycle management, service ownership and IT governance.
• Experience in global, complex, matrix-based organizations with risk and audit awareness.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the Application Lifecycle Management strategy for Group & Enterprise Applications.
• Establish operating model, governance framework, processes and capabilities for the GEA landscape.
• Build ALM into an enterprise capability supporting strategic decision-making and portfolio optimization.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team spanning governance, portfolio management, risk coordination, compliance, and service ownership.
• Establish governance forums, accountability models and management reporting.
• Lead application consolidation and decommissioning across the GEA landscape.
• Drive portfolio simplification to reduce complexity, risk and cost.
• Partner with Enterprise Architecture on lifecycle decisions and technology strategy.
• Influence investments and prioritization across the portfolio; establish the GEA cockpit for oversight.
• Improve transparency of ownership, lifecycle status, compliance obligations, and technical debt.
• Improve data quality, governance and reporting across ServiceNow, CMDB, Jira and related tooling.
• Establish governance for risk, vulnerability and compliance management; ensure remediation plans.
• Partner with Security, Compliance and Risk to strengthen resilience and regulatory readiness.
• Provide executive reporting to GEA leadership; build relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Influence without formal authority across a large, distributed organization; represent ALM in governance boards.

• Build Application Lifecycle Management into a recognized enterprise capability supporting strategic decision-making and portfolio optimization


• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team spanning application governance, portfolio management, risk coordination, compliance, service ownership and application consolidation

• Establish governance for application risk, vulnerability and compliance management


• Ensure risks, audit findings and compliance obligations have ownership and remediation plans


• Partner with Security, Compliance and Risk functions to strengthen operational resilience and regulatory readiness


• Provide executive reporting to GEA leadership


• Build relationships with Directors, VPs and senior stakeholders across Global IT and business functions


• Influence without formal authority across a large, geographically distributed organization


• Represent Application Lifecycle Management in strategic forums, governance boards and leadership discussions


• Manage cross-functional dependencies, risks and opportunities

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise IT leadership, application governance, application portfolio management, IT strategy, service management or related disciplines


• Proven experience establishing or transforming enterprise-scale capabilities, operating models or governance frameworks


• Experience leading large-scale application transformation, rationalization, modernization or consolidation initiatives


• Strong knowledge of application portfolio management, lifecycle management, service ownership and IT governance


• Experience within global, complex and matrix-based organizations


• Strong understanding of risk management, cybersecurity governance, compliance and audit processes


• Experience translating complex technology landscapes into actionable executive insights


• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and executive leaders


• Strong leadership experience with a track record of building high-performing teams


• Experience from logistics, transportation, supply chain or other asset-intensive industries preferred


• Experience supporting M&A integrations, technology consolidation, or large-scale transformation programs preferred


• Experience with ServiceNow, CMDB, Jira and modern IT governance tooling preferred
