Job summary

Techland in Wrocław or Warsaw is seeking a talented Level Artist to create immersive environments for its games. The role is full-time and on-site, with opportunities to shape locations and lighting across levels.

You will work with Level Designers, Concept Artists, 2D/3D Artists, and use a proprietary editor to bring game locations to life, from terrain to lighting, while ensuring performance and visual quality.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in level design or lighting in video games.
• At least one shipped AAA title.
• Very good command of English.
• Passion for games and knowledge of the gaming industry from the player’s perspective.
• Ability to express ideas verbally and through quick sketches.
• Excellent teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with 2D or 3D graphics suites (Adobe Photoshop, 3DS Max/Blender).

Responsibilities

• Participating in the creation of ideas and plans for locations/levels.
• Setting the rough geometry of locations (terrain shape, buildings, interior walls).
• Finishing locations and cutscenes with existing meshes and decals.
• Lighting locations and cutscenes to enhance mood and direct gameplay.
• Optimizing locations.
• Collaborating with Level Designers, Concept Artists, 2D/3D Artists and others.
• Working with a proprietary editor.
• Taking care of a large part of the game environment.
