Job summary

Çalık Enerji is seeking a Senior Lawyer for the Enea Kozienice 1300 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant Project in Poland. The role focuses on Polish Public Procurement Law, Energy Law, EU directives, and Capacity Market compliance, supporting EPC execution and risk mitigation.

You will provide legal opinions, review internal policies, analyse design and schedule claims, and manage Extension of Time and cost disputes.

Qualifications

• University degree in Law.
• 7+ years of professional experience in-house or at a law firm.
• Proactive attitude and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills across functions.

Responsibilities

• Support Polish Public Procurement Law (PPL) compliance for EPC projects and prepare required statements and documentation for contracting entities.
• Ensure alignment with Polish Energy Law, EU directives, and Capacity Market regulations.
• Provide legal opinions and conduct reviews to meet departmental needs.
• Advise on internal policies and ensure project activities comply with corporate governance.

We are looking for a “Senior Lawyer” for our Çalık Enerji / Enea Kozienice 1300 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant Project;

Responsibilities:

• Support projects executed under the Polish Public Procurement Law (PPL) by assessing supplier and subcontractor status under statutory definitions, preparing mandatory statements and documentation for the Contracting Entity, monitoring reporting obligations, and mitigating PPL‑related contract risks for EPC execution,
• Ensure full alignment with Polish Energy Law, EU directives, and Capacity Market regulations,
• Provide legal opinions in response to various departmental requests, conduct legal reviews, and meet needs,
• Advise on internal policies and ensure all project activities comply with the Polish Commercial Companies Code,
• Analyse claims arising from design discrepancies, documentation gaps, design errors, technology changes, or delays in supply and execution, and prepare legally sound positions for negotiations,
• Evaluate, draft, and defend against contractor claims regarding Extension of Time (EOT) and additional costs.

Qualifications:

• University degree in Law,
• 7+ years of professional experience within an in-house legal department or law firm,
• Proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team,
