Job summary

Calan, a premier renewable energy group, seeks an In-house Lawyer to negotiate a full stack of project contracts from term sheet to close. You will work closely with development, finance and technical teams across Poland and group level.

You will steer PPA, EPC, O&M, land lease and grid-access negotiations, lead acquisitions and due diligence, and oversee corporate matters within the Polish portfolio while monitoring regulatory shifts affecting the sector.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in law and admission to the Polish bar or law practice.
• At least 5 years of independent legal experience, in-house or at a firm.
• Experience advising renewable energy companies on PPA, EPC, O&M or leases.
• Strong civil, administrative, construction and energy law knowledge.
• Ability to lead negotiations and coordinate cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Drafting, negotiating and managing contracts: PPAs, land leases, EPC, O&M, grid access.
• Leading the legal workstream on acquisitions and disposals of projects.
• Running due diligence and aligning development, technical and finance teams.
• Supporting financing processes and security documentation.
• Handling corporate matters across Polish group companies.
• Tracking regulatory changes and advising on risk mitigation.
• Advising on siting, environmental and construction-law questions.
• Reviewing tenders, offers and client documentation.
• Managing external counsel and maintaining templates and standards.
