Job summary

Uberall in Poland is seeking a senior engineer to own the JVM platform that the rest of the engineering teams build on, with the goal of making it easy to ship LLM-powered agents.

You will design shared libraries, Spring Boot starters, and templates; drive Kotlin/Java services and client libraries; and mentor teams while shaping the platform's developer experience. The role emphasizes API design, guardrails for agent quality, and cross-team collaboration to scale internal tooling.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience building libraries, frameworks, or platform components.
• Strong Kotlin and/or Java on the JVM with Spring Boot.

Responsibilities

• Own the design of shared libraries, Spring Boot starters, and templates.
• Build JVM-side foundations: message routing, tool exposure, state/memory handling.
• Drive technical work across Kotlin/Spring Boot services and client libraries.
• Define evaluation/guardrail strategy for agent quality.
• Set patterns and standards for building agentic systems.
• Map the wider ecosystem and connect systems across domains.
• Mentor teams, review designs, and own docs.
• Raise the bar on developer experience with clear APIs and good defaults.
