Job summary

Luxoft Poland is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to improve security, release reliability, and resilience for banking applications. You will lead hands-on engagements with development teams, write production code, upgrade runtimes, containerize apps, and drive CI/CD modernization.

The role blends Java/JVM with DevOps, SRE, and security practices in a hybrid office setting. Expect to work hands-on ~70% of the time, collaborating with stakeholders, and coaching teams to sustain improved

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on software engineering experience
• Active coding, debugging, and reviewing production code
• Java/JVM development essential; TypeScript valued for Node.js projects

Responsibilities

• Lead targeted technical engagements addressing security, testing, release and resilience
• Assess code, dependencies, CI/CD, observability and deployment architecture
• Write and review production-quality code and configurations
• Define modernization/remediation plans with priorities and risks
• Develop unit, integration, and deployment tests with TDD
• Drive automation testing and test data management
• Upgrade runtimes, frameworks, libraries, and container platforms
• Containerize apps and support OpenShift deployment
• Improve source control, PRs, and code review practices
• Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines for safe, repeatable releases
• Use AI coding tools to enhance engineering outcomes
• Provide technical leadership and knowledge transfer to teams
• Own projects from assessment to handover
