Job summary

EPAM Systems in Kraków is seeking a Senior Java Developer to build new applications for Rates and Credit sales on a modern microservice platform. You will work in a scrum team delivering backend services with Java 11+, Spring Boot, and accompanying frontend tech while embracing cloud and scalability.

The role emphasizes high-quality code, collaboration with trading desks, and end-to-end ownership of features in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software development experience with Java, including knowledge of collections, multithreading, and concurrency utilities.
• Experience designing enterprise-level server-side solutions on cloud technologies.
• Proficiency in IO/NIO, sockets, and asynchronous programming.
• Experience with Spring Boot and ReactJS.
• Familiarity with low-latency, high-throughput messaging systems.
• Solid understanding of design patterns; exposure to functional programming is a plus.
• Knowledge of Java testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber), automated testing, and CI/CD.
• Strong agile experience (Scrum, XP, Kanban).
• Self-driven, ownership of requirements from start to finish.
• Excellent communication and teamwork, with English at least Upper-Intermediate (B2).
