Job summary

EPAM Systems in Kraków seeks a Senior Java Core Developer to join the FX trading team. You will design robust server-side solutions and drive problem-solving across the full software development lifecycle.

You will own software design, participate in requirements, design, development, testing and rollout, deliver production support, and help improve legacy systems while working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Java server-side development experience with multi-threading.
• Experience designing robust, scalable distributed systems in an enterprise environment.
• Knowledge of messaging and middleware technologies such as Kafka and Tibco EMS.
• Knowledge of frameworks including Spring and Spring Boot and reactive programming paradigms.
• Familiarity with Cloud/Azure, Docker and DevOps practices.
• Basic skills in Linux.
• Fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of software design and problem-solving within the FX trading area.
• Participate in the entire Software Development Life Cycle including requirements gathering, design, development, testing and rollout.
• Deliver Level 3 support and resolve production issues.
• Apply modern best practices to new projects while enhancing legacy code bases.
• Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of existing systems and processes.
