Job summary

Brown Brothers Harriman in Kraków is seeking a Senior Java Developer to design and build core platforms and microservices within the Capital Partners engineering team. You will work on a full‑stack wealth management application and contribute to modernization efforts in an Agile setting.

The role requires 5+ years in Java, Spring, microservices, and strong backend expertise. You will collaborate with architects, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions in a hybrid work

Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on Java experience in enterprise environments.
Strong expertise in Spring / Spring Boot, REST API development, and backend services.
Proficient in microservices architecture and clean code principles.
SQL skills with query optimization.
Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, and messaging platforms (Kafka).
Understanding of secure coding principles and security tooling.
Experience with logging, metrics, monitoring, and production support.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Java applications with a focus on scalable microservices.
Contribute to architectural decisions, applying design patterns and engineering best practices.
Ensure high standards for performance, reliability, security, and maintainability, aligned with SDLC.
Collaborate with architects, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders throughout the lifecycle.
Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and production issue resolution.
Enhance and support CI/CD pipelines to streamline development and deployment.
Drive continuous process improvements with ownership and leadership.
