Job summary

Nordea is seeking a Senior Java Developer to join the Equities Technology team. You will design and build Java-based services that process trade and order data, develop data pipelines, and build integrations with market infrastructure and external partners.

You will work with architects and senior engineers, applying modern engineering practices, including CI/CD and AI-assisted development, to deliver robust, scalable trading data solutions across the platform.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of professional Java development experience.
• Experience designing enterprise applications.
• Strong SQL and relational DB experience.
• Experience designing integration solutions and distributed systems.
• Experience participating in architectural discussions and technical design activities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based services for trade data processing.
• Build integrations between trading platforms, market infrastructure, external vendors, and internal consumers.
• Develop data pipelines and event-driven solutions using modern patterns.
• Contribute to the evolution of our Kafka-based integration landscape.
• Collaborate with architects and senior engineers on design and technical direction.
• Mentor colleagues and promote engineering best practices.
