Job summary

Nordea Technology seeks an Application Maintenance & Operations Lead to head the team responsible for the operational stability of our equity trading landscape. You will combine people leadership, technical expertise and operational excellence in a high-stakes trading environment.

You will guide a seven-member team delivering first and second line support across SaaS and on-premises platforms, ensuring rapid incident resolution, collaboration with traders and engineers, and ongoing process

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in technology operations, application support or production management.
• Experience supporting business-critical and low-latency platforms.
• Strong knowledge of incident management and ITIL processes.
• Experience managing complex application landscapes involving multiple vendors and technologies.
• Experience driving root cause analysis and service improvement initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Structured and analytical approach to problem-solving in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of support engineers and consultants by participating in daily work and incidents.
• Provide hands-on leadership during incidents, investigations and major operational events.
• Manage support shifts and ensure effective first and second line support for equity trading and reporting apps.
• Drive operational excellence through defined processes, controls and monitoring.
• Oversee daily operational activities, including morning health checks and readiness reviews.
• Act as the operational escalation point for business-critical incidents.
• Coordinate with technology, vendors, exchanges and business teams during incidents.
• Drive root cause analysis and translate lessons into lasting improvements.
• Lead infrastructure and platform initiatives to boost resilience and efficiency.
• Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
• Support trading desks with timely, clear incident communication and release planning.
