Job summary

State Street in Kraków seeks a Senior IT Leader to oversee AI initiatives from concept to production, supporting strategic business objectives. You will drive end-to-end ML projects, align with stakeholders, and shape the tech roadmap.

The role requires 5+ years of ML engineering experience, expertise in NLP/LLMs, and hands-on work with PyTorch or TensorFlow. A Master’s degree in CS is required, with three days per week in-office.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of ML engineering experience in feature engineering, model training, serving, monitoring and refresh management.
• Production-scale AI/ML systems experience, in production or high-impact research environments.
• Proficiency in NLP, especially LLMs and Generative AI systems.
• Familiarity with PyTorch or TensorFlow frameworks.
• Experience with transformer models and understanding of their principles.
• Strong coding and software engineering skills, testing, code reviews and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee AI initiatives from concept to production aligned with business objectives.
• Lead ML engineering efforts: feature engineering, model training, serving, and monitoring.
• Drive scalable NLP/LLM/Generative AI systems for production-scale workloads.
• Mentor teams and engage senior stakeholders to shape the technical roadmap.
• Collaborate across functions to deliver high-impact AI solutions.
