Job summary

Luxoft in Kraków is seeking a senior Java developer to design and build scalable back-end services using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices. You will implement data access with Hibernate/SQL and optimize queries on Oracle or PostgreSQL, while working with Docker and Kubernetes in a cloud environment.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of professional experience as a Java developer.
• Strong Core Java skills.
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot and building microservices.
• Experience in RESTful API design.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL or Oracle, including strong SQL skills and query and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Good working knowledge of Unix/Linux, including shell and command-line tools.
• Experience in automated testing of Java applications.
• Clean coding skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with agile practices (Scrum, Kanban).
• Good communication skills and the ability to state requirements clearly to other teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable back-end services and APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.
