Job summary

Luxoft seeks a Senior Java Developer to join a client team in Kraków to build scalable back-end services. You will design, develop, and maintain APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate, with a focus on clean code and quality.

Responsibilities include containerizing with Kubernetes, infrastructure as code with Terraform, RESTful API design, and agile collaboration with QA and product teams. 8+ years' experience and strong problem solving are expected.

We are looking for a senior Java developer to join our client's team and contribute to the development of modern, scalable back-end services. You'll be part of a collaborative team focused on clean code, agile methodologies, and delivering high-quality solutions. The client is from the investment banking industry.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable back-end services and APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring
• Implement data access using Hibernate and SQL, with attention to performance and maintainability
• Containerize and deploy applications on Kubernetes
• Provision and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform
• Define and consume RESTful APIs, clearly communicating requirements and constraints across teams
• Translate business and product requirements into robust technical solutions
• Apply clean code principles and back-end best practices across the codebase
• Write and maintain automated tests (unit, integration)
• Participate actively in agile ceremonies (Scrum/Kanban), including refinement, planning, reviews, and retrospectives
• Perform code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards and tooling
• Work closely with QA, product managers, and architects to ensure high-quality, business-aligned deliveries
• Support and improve existing applications in a fast-paced, enterprise investment-banking environment

Mandatory Skills Description:
