Job summary

emagine is seeking a Senior Java Developer to build and maintain fraud management applications using Java and Apache Kafka. You will enhance real-time fraud monitoring capabilities by processing data in near real-time and collaborating with a cross-functional team.

Role requires strong server-side Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and SQL skills, with optional Kubernetes and AWS Lambda experience. Remote work with 3 days in an office in Poland, with presence in Warsaw, Gdańsk, or Łódź.

Location: Remote with office presence in three locations: Warsaw, Gdańsk, or Łódź (3 days a week in office)

Summary:

The Senior Java Developer role focuses on building and maintaining fraud management applications using Java and Apache Kafka. This position is crucial for enhancing the bank's fraud monitoring capabilities through real-time data processing.

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop applications in Java for the Fraud Management Domain.
• Work collaboratively within a scrum team.
• Design solutions and ensure maintainability.
• Implement and sustain near real-time data pipelines.
• Engage with product owners and stakeholders to clarify project requirements.
• Document designs and solutions effectively.

Key Requirements:

• Strong experience with server-side Java development (Java EE (E3), Spring Boot (E3)).
• Expertise in web services (SOAP/REST).
• Experience with Kafka as a messaging technology.
• Performance analysis and optimization skills.
• Familiarity with relational databases (Oracle or similar) and SQL.
• Knowledge of microservices and integration patterns.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with containers on Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with AWS PaaS services, such as Lambdas.
