Job summary

GFT Technologies SE is seeking a senior backend engineer to design and develop scalable Java microservices. You will implement cloud-native solutions on Azure, manage Kubernetes infrastructure, and build robust CI/CD pipelines with GitLab.

The role requires strong experience with Spring Boot 3+ and PostgreSQL, plus familiarity with Databricks and AI tooling. Hybrid work from Kraków is expected three days per week.

Qualifications

Strong experience with Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3+.
Experience with microservices-based architectures.
Good knowledge of PostgreSQL.
Experience with Kafka.
Strong knowledge of Azure services.
Experience with Terraform.
Experience with Kubernetes.
Experience with Databricks.
Practical experience with AI engineering tools including GHCP CLI.
Understanding of Generative AI concepts and frontier models.
Strong communication skills.
Domain knowledge of Stock Borrow Loan business.
Experience with JUnit 5, Mockito, Testcontainers or similar testing frameworks.
Understanding of structured context in codebases such as AGENTS.md and skills.
Experience with Helm.
Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

Design and develop backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
Build and maintain microservices-based solutions.
Develop and optimize integrations with PostgreSQL and Kafka.
Design and manage cloud-native solutions on Azure.
Implement and maintain Kubernetes and Terraform infrastructure.
Create and improve CI/CD pipelines in GitLab.
