Job summary

GFT Technologies SE is seeking a backend Java developer in Poland to design and evolve high-performance backend services and APIs for digital platforms in a global financial services client environment.

You will work hands-on in a collaborative international team, focusing on reliability, security, and engineering quality, with options for hybrid work and on-site collaboration. Strong Java and Spring skills, REST/microservices, and CI/CD experience are expected.

Type of contract: B2B contract

Salary range: 125-160 PLN/H

What will you do?

You will build and evolve high-performance backend services and APIs for modern, large-scale digital platforms used by a global financial services client, working hands- on in a collaborative international environment with a strong focus on reliability, security, and engineering quality.

Your tasks

• Design and develop backend services in Java
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices used at scale
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineers to deliver new features
• Contribute to system design with focus on performance, reliability, and security
• Work in Agile delivery with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps ways of working
• Review code and write automated tests to ensure quality and maintainability
• Support applications in production and troubleshoot issues when needed
• Continuously improve code quality, tooling, and engineering practices

Requirements

• Commercial experience with Java 8+ or 11+ or 17+
• Strong knowledge of Spring and Spring Boot
• Hands- on experience with REST APIs
• Hands- on experience with microservices architecture
• Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or Oracle
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Git
• Experience with Maven or Gradle
• Experience working in Agile or DevOps teams
• Very good English communication skills
• Openess to hybrid work 2 days a week from our client office (for candidates from Kraków) and 6 days per month for candidates based outside Kraków.
