Job summary

GFT Technologies SE in Kraków is seeking a skilled backend/frontend engineer to drive digital transformation on large-scale financial platforms. You will build microservices in Java/Spring Boot, and frontend in React/TypeScript, while integrating PostgreSQL and Kafka in a cloud-native, DevOps environment.

The role covers collaboration with stakeholders, automated testing, and modernization initiatives, with hybrid work 3 days a week at the Kraków office, and exposure to AI tooling to boost

Qualifications

• Proficient in Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3+ development.
• Experience designing and building microservices architectures.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and Kafka.
• Frontend expertise with ReactJS, Redux, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and ES6+.
• Experience with .NET and C#.
• Familiarity with AI engineering tools and Generative AI concepts.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Good domain knowledge of Stock Borrow Loan workflows.
• Experience with automated testing using JUnit 5, Mockito, Testcontainers.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Helm and Terraform.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines for build/test/deploy automation.
• Willingness to work hybrid from Kraków office (3 days/week).

What will you do?

You will work on large-scale financial services platforms supporting investment banking operations. The role focuses on digital transformation, process automation, data integration, and application modernization in a highly regulated environment. You will contribute across both backend and frontend development while leveraging modern cloud-native technologies, AI engineering tools, and DevOps practices.

Your tasks

• Design and develop scalable microservices-based applications using Java and Spring Boot
• Build and maintain modern frontend solutions using React and TypeScript
• Implement and optimize integrations with PostgreSQL and Kafka
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and development teams to deliver high-quality solutions
• Develop and maintain automated tests ensuring application quality and reliability
• Deploy and support applications running on Kubernetes platforms
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab
• Participate in application modernization and process automation initiatives
• Contribute to technical discussions and architectural decisions

Requirements

• Strong backend development experience using Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3+
• Experience designing and developing microservices-based architectures
• Good knowledge of PostgreSQL
• Good knowledge of Kafka
• Strong frontend development expertise using ReactJS, Redux, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3 and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
• Experience with .NET and C#
• Experience with AI engineering tools such as GHCP CLI
• Understanding of Generative AI concepts and frontier models
