Job summary

GFT Technologies SE is seeking a senior backend engineer to design and develop scalable Java microservices. You will implement cloud-native solutions on Azure, manage Kubernetes infrastructure, and build robust CI/CD pipelines with GitLab.

The role requires strong experience with Spring Boot 3+ and PostgreSQL, plus familiarity with Databricks and AI tooling. Hybrid work from Kraków is expected three days per week.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3+.
• Experience with microservices-based architectures.
• Good knowledge of PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Kafka.
• Strong knowledge of Azure services.
• Experience with Terraform.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience with Databricks.
• Practical experience with AI engineering tools including GHCP CLI.
• Understanding of Generative AI concepts and frontier models.
• Strong communication skills.
• Domain knowledge of Stock Borrow Loan business.
• Experience with JUnit 5, Mockito, Testcontainers or similar testing frameworks.
• Understanding of structured context in codebases such as AGENTS.md and skills.
• Experience with Helm.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and maintain microservices-based solutions.
• Develop and optimize integrations with PostgreSQL and Kafka.
• Design and manage cloud-native solutions on Azure.
• Implement and maintain Kubernetes and Terraform infrastructure.
• Create and improve CI/CD pipelines in GitLab.
• Develop automated tests and ensure software quality.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders.
• Support application modernization and process automation initiatives.
