Job summary

GFT Technologies SE in Kraków is seeking a skilled backend/frontend engineer to drive digital transformation on large-scale financial platforms. You will build microservices in Java/Spring Boot, and frontend in React/TypeScript, while integrating PostgreSQL and Kafka in a cloud-native, DevOps environment.

The role covers collaboration with stakeholders, automated testing, and modernization initiatives, with hybrid work 3 days a week at the Kraków office, and exposure to AI tooling to boost

Qualifications

• Proficient in Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3+ development.
• Experience designing and building microservices architectures.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and Kafka.
• Frontend expertise with ReactJS, Redux, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and ES6+.
• Experience with .NET and C#.
• Familiarity with AI engineering tools and Generative AI concepts.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Good domain knowledge of Stock Borrow Loan workflows.
• Experience with automated testing using JUnit 5, Mockito, Testcontainers.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Helm and Terraform.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines for build/test/deploy automation.
• Willingness to work hybrid from Kraków office (3 days/week).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build modern frontend solutions with React, Redux and TypeScript.
• Implement and optimize PostgreSQL and Kafka integrations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and dev teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Develop and maintain automated tests to ensure quality.
• Deploy and support apps on Kubernetes platforms.
• Create CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
• Participate in application modernization and automation initiatives.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions.
• Utilize AI tools to improve development efficiency.
