Job summary

Nordea is seeking a Backend Developer for Savings and Investment Product & Retail Order Management Tech Service Domain. You will design and maintain Java applications, build calculation engines for multi-country tax compliance, and support business processes with tax authorities and reporting.

You will collaborate with financial analysts to translate requirements into scalable software solutions, joining a hybrid work culture at one of the Nordic banking leaders.

Qualifications

• Strong Java and Spring ecosystem experience.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL (PostgreSQL)
• Knowledge of OpenAPI/AsyncAPI for data interfaces
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of OOP and design patterns
• Nice to have Python/Airflow knowledge
• Good communication skills and fluent English

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Java applications for savings and investments products.
• Build robust calculation engines ensuring tax regulation compliance across countries.
• Support complex business processes, integrations with tax authorities, and customer reports.
• Participate in full SDLC: requirements, design, coding, testing, deployment.
• Collaborate with financial analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions
