Job summary

Jit Team in Poland is seeking a backend/full-stack developer with at least 5 years of experience to work on a fintech solution. The role focuses on Java-based backend services and APIs, end-to-end feature delivery, and occasional frontend work with Angular/React.

Hybrid work from Gdańsk, one day in the office per week. You will collaborate across microservices architecture, integrate with third-party services, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in backend or full-stack development.
• Strong proficiency in Java.
• Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and HTTP integrations.
• Basic hands-on experience with frontend frameworks (Angular, React, or similar).
• Solid knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
• Active usage of AI coding tools (required).
• Experience in fintech / financial domain (highly preferred).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services and APIs in Java
• Deliverend-to-end features (e.g. financial reports, cash statements, calculations)
• Work across the stack - including frontend layers (Angular or similar) when needed
• Integrate systems with frontend applications and third-party services
• Participate in code reviews and ensure high code quality standards
• Support CI/CD pipelines and production releases
• Actively use AI coding tools (agentic coding, Copilot, Cursor) in daily workflow
