Job summary

Jit Team in Poland seeks a Senior Backend Java Developer to join a team responsible for developing and maintaining Java-based applications. The solutions support tax compliance, customer account management, and investment services for pension and savings products.

You will build new features, enhance existing systems, and ensure compliance across markets. You will work in a hybrid model from Gdynia, Gdańsk or Warsaw, collaborating with analysts and engineers, mentoring peers, and applying Spring

Qualifications

• Proven senior-level experience in backend Java development.
• Strong knowledge of Java 21 and Spring ecosystem.
• Experience with Hibernate and OOP/design patterns.
• Relational databases experience (PostgreSQL).
• Experience designing and integrating APIs (OpenAPI/AsyncAPI).
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java applications supporting savings and investment product.
• Build and enhance calculation engines to ensure compliance with changing tax regulations across multiple countries.
• Develop solutions supporting complex business processes, integrations with tax authorities, and client reporting.
• Participate in full software development lifecycle: requirements, design, implementation, testing, deployment.
• Collaborate with analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Mentor team members, conduct code reviews, and promote engineering best practices.
• Utilize AI-powered tools and automation to improve product quality and productivity.
