Job summary

Jit Team in Poland is seeking an experienced Java backend developer to design, build and modernize backend integration components for a securities platform. You will work on Java-based microservices and enterprise integrations within a Scrum environment, contributing to deployment, testing and knowledge sharing.

The role requires deep Java expertise, strong SQL/Oracle skills, and hands-on experience with Kafka/IBM MQ, Kubernetes, and RESTful services.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Java backend development in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Strong SQL skills; Oracle experience preferred.
• Messaging and event-driven integration with IBM MQ and Kafka.
• Familiarity with containerised environments and Kubernetes.
• Experience with REST services, microservices, and integration patterns.
• Experience with Maven, Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Automated testing with JUnit and Testcontainers.
• Ability to analyze requirements, system flows, logs and data flows.
• Fluent English to operate in an international environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support Java-based microservices and integration components.
• Develop integrations between IMSecurities and other enterprise systems.
• Support application modernization and rearchitecture initiatives.
• Implement new business functionality and support migrations.
• Participate in requirement analysis and clarification activities.
• Analyse business and system flows and production issues.
• Support deployment planning and release activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, QA and infrastructure teams.
• Promote good development practices in an Agile Scrum setup using Jira.
