Job summary

Sonova is seeking a Senior IT Solution Architect (SAP MM/PP/QM) to drive SAP-based solutions across production planning, materials management, and quality management in an international setting.

You will own requirements analysis, design, and implementation, coordinating with global teams while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture. The role offers a flexible hybrid model and opportunities to shape critical SAP programs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in SAP PP/MM/QA environments.
• Strong experience in solution design, configuration, and business process mapping.
• Cross-Module Integration across MM, PP, QM and touchpoints with WM/EWM and FI/CO.
• Knowledge of SAP Variant Configuration, SAP Logistics Execution, or other SAP modules is advantageous.
• Enterprise Structure Design: design scalable structures (plants, storage locations, purchasing) aligned with global models.
• Functional specs writing and custom developments (RICEFW) without breaking SAP architecture.
• Technical literacy: SAP data tables, ABAP debugging; IDocs, EDI, BAPIs for integration.
• S/4HANA readiness: map ECC MM/PP/QM to S/4HANA for migration roadmaps.
• Stakeholder management: bridge between business and tech teams.
• Experience with SAP tools: Solution Manager, JIRA, Signavio, ServiceNow.
• Experience in international, cross-functional environments.
• Fluent English; other languages a plus.

Join our global IT organization and take a key role in shaping and delivering SAP-based solutions across production planning, materials management, and quality management processes. This position sits at the intersection of business and IT, with strong ownership of SAP PP/MM/QM solutions in a complex, international environment.

More about you

• 8+ years of experience in SAP PP/MM/QA environments
• Strong experience in solution design, configuration, and business process mapping
• Cross-Module Integration: Seamless orchestration of data flows between MM, PP, QM, and touchpoints with WM/EWM (Warehouse Management) and FI/CO
• Knowledge of SAP Variant Configuration, SAP Logistics Execution, or other SAP modules is of great advantage
• Enterprise Structure Design: Ability to design scalable organizational structures (plants, storage locations, purchasing organizations) that align with global business models
• Custom Solution Design: Competency in writing high-quality Functional Specifications and designing user exits, BAdIs, and custom developments (RICEFW) without breaking standard SAP architecture
• Technical Literacy: Strong understanding of SAP data tables, ABAP debugging skills to troubleshoot complex issues, and familiarity with IDocs, EDI, and BAPIs for system integration
• S/4HANA Readiness: Understanding of how ECC MM/PP/QM processes map to S/4HANA (e.g., Simplification List, Business Partner approach, MRP Live) to guide future migration roadmaps
• Stakeholder Management: Ability to act as the bridge between executive business stakeholders and technical development teams to translate complex business requirements into scalable SAP blueprints
• Experience with IT tools such as SAP Solution Manager, JIRA, Signavio, ServiceNow
• Experience in international, cross-functional environments
• Fluent English (additional languages like German, Polish or Chinese are a plus)
