Job summary

Sonova Group in Warsaw seeks an experienced SAP Basis Administrator to join our SAP Competence Center. You will ensure the stability and performance of our SAP landscape while collaborating with cross-functional IT teams.

The role requires 5+ years SAP Basis, 2+ years SAP HANA, and strong Windows expertise with Linux (SUSE) familiarity, plus SAP Certification and Solution Manager exposure. You will also plan upgrades, manage transports, and participate in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on SAP Basis administration
• 2+ years of SAP HANA database administration
• 3+ years with MS SQL Server
• Strong Windows environment expertise; Linux (SUSE) familiarity is a plus
• SAP Certification and exposure to SAP Solution Manager are assets
• Excellent collaboration and mentorship abilities

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot SAP systems and databases per SLAs
• Manage OS and infrastructure supporting SAP environments
• Provide expert SAP Basis support to other SAP functional and technical teams
• Collaborate with IT Operations to ensure high availability and recoverability
• Plan and execute SAP transport management, patching, upgrades
• Support weekend and off-hours maintenance to uphold availability and security
• Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours SAP support
• Mentor internal colleagues and external contractors in SAP Basis topics

SAP Basis Administrator

We are looking for an experiencedSAP Basis Administrator to join our growing SAP Competence Center in Warsaw. As a subject matter expert in SAP Basis administration, you will ensure the stability, performance, and reliability of our SAP landscape, working closely with cross-functional IT teams across the business. This is a great opportunity to influence the design and evolution of our SAP infrastructure while contributing to enterprise-level projects.

More about the role:

• Install, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot SAP systems and associated databases in line with defined SLAs
• Manage and monitor the operating systems and technical infrastructure supporting all SAP environments
• Provide expert SAP Basis support and technical guidance to other SAP functional and technical teams
• Collaborate with IT Operations to implement controls for new technologies and ensure high availability and recoverability
• Plan and execute SAP transport management, patching, upgrades, and enhancement package deployments
• Support weekend and off-hours maintenance activities to uphold system availability and security standards
• Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergency SAP support
• Mentor and guide internal colleagues and external contractors within the SAP Basis/Auths team

More about you:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in SAP Basis administration, including system upgrades and transport management
• 2+ years of SAP HANA database administration including tuning, upgrading, and performance optimization
• 3+ years of experience with relational databases such as MS SQL Server
• Strong background supporting SAP systems in Windows environments; familiarity with Linux (SUSE) is a plus
• Experience with enterprise‑scale SAP implementations and migrations
• SAP Certification and exposure to SAP Solution Manager are considered strong assets
• Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to support, guide, and occasionally act as deputy on SAP Basis topics
