Job summary

NielsenIQ is seeking a Senior Insight Analyst to support retailers across Western Europe. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, analyze large data sets, and deliver strategic insights and presentations that influence growth.

You will leverage your relationship-building skills and analytical mindset to translate numbers into actionable recommendations for major markets, while contributing to cross-functional projects and client-facing opportunities.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in an analytical role.
  • Experience in FMCG, T&D, Retail, or market research is advantageous.
  • Proficient with NielsenIQ data and systems is a plus.
  • Degree in Business/Marketing/Economics/Statistics or related field.
  • Interested in client-facing responsibilities in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong partnerships with stakeholders; deliver slides, story flows, insights, and presentations.
  • Understand business priorities and business drivers for category/brand performance.
  • Work with large data sets to analyze country-level trends.
  • Share best practices and implement them in own work.
  • Support team members in meetings and presentations.
  • Maintain stakeholder satisfaction through clear expectations and coordination of analytic pipeline.
  • Contribute to strategic internal projects (coaching, championship, analytics or soft-skills).

Job description

TheRetail Insight Centre of Excellence at NIQ acts as a strategic partner to our local team, helping them respond faster to changing market dynamics. We specialize ina wide range FMCG and Tech&Durables categories, delivering insights and recommendations that are critical to our clients' success.

We are currently looking for a motivated Senior Insight Analyst to join our team, to support local NIQ retailers team across Western Europe. In this role, you will work closely with internal stakeholders across one or more markets, helping them make better decisions based on research and sales data.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Building a strong partnership with your internal and/or external stakeholders and seek to make an impact by creating & delivering slides and story flows, analytical insights & presentations for our clients
  • Fostering a strong understanding of your company' business priorities
  • Working with large data sets to understand drivers of category and brand performance on country level
  • Sharing and actively searching for best practice examples and implementing the approach in their own work whenever possible
  • Supporting other team members during meetings and presentations
  • Maintaining stakeholder satisfaction through clear expectations management and effective coordination of the analytical pipeline, while fostering long-term relationships built on trust and consistent delivery
  • Contributing to the team mission by participation in strategic internal projects (coaching, championship, analytical or soft-skills projects)

For this crucial business role, you will have to possessstrong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, as well as demonstratean analyticalmindset,curiosity, accountability, and engagement.

You will make a difference by helping some of the largestWestern European markets make the right choices for their growth strategies. You will partner with your colleagues and support the clients to discover what is happening with theircategories andbrands and what they should do to improve business performance.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Min. 3years of experience working in an analytical capacity.
  • Previousworking experience withFMCG,T&D,Retail,or market research industry would be considered a big advantage.
  • KnowledgeofNielsenIQ/Gfkdata and systems is an asset.
  • University degree in Business/Marketing/Economics/Statisticsor related field.
  • An aptitude and aspirations to build trust and relationships with internal stakeholders, while being open to a client-facing role in future.
  • Strong numerical confidence, data visualization skills, and ability to translate numbers into clear insights and recommendations.
  • Very goodknowledge of Microsoft ExcelandPowerPoint.
  • Fluent communication in English - verbal and written (at least C1 level).
  • Knowledgeother European languages (French, Italian, German, Spanish) is a plus.
  • Excellent timemanagement and prioritization skills with a proventrack recordof delivering projects on time.
  • Strong interpersonal skillsand ease of workingin a multicultural settingand a virtual environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team player.
