Job summary

NIQ is seeking a Junior Insight Analyst to join a global team that supports major FMCG and related clients. You will analyze sales and consumer data, build actionable insights, and present findings through tables, charts, and slides while coordinating with stakeholders across one or more markets.

You will contribute to a culture of client-focused delivery, collaborate with internal teams, and develop storytelling skills to drive growth strategies in a dynamic, hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

  • University degree or finalizing education in Business/Marketing/Economics/Statistics or related field.
  • Experience with FMCG, T&D, Retail, or market research is advantageous.
  • Aptitude to build trust with internal stakeholders and develop storytelling.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, conditional formatting) and PowerPoint.
  • Fluent English - written and spoken (C1).

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Customer Success team at NIQ acts as a strategic partner to our clients, helping them respond faster to changing market dynamics. We specialize in a wide range of food, cosmetics, household products, beverages and other industries, delivering insights and recommendations that are critical to our clients' success.

We are currently looking for a motivated Junior Insight Analyst to join our team, which supports some of the biggest WE/global FMCG and T&D clients. In this role, you will work closely with internal stakeholders across one or more categories on WE/global markets, helping them make better decisions based on research and sales data.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analysis and interpretation of sales and consumer data to uncover actionable insights across categories and business issues.

  • Summarizing findings in tables, charts, and presentations, ensuring accuracy and clarity, with full or partial ownership of insight delivery.

  • Building a strong partnership with your stakeholders and seeking to make an impact by supporting them in delivering meaningful solutions for our clients

  • Supporting other team members during client meetings and presentations

  • Fostering a strong understanding of your clients’ business priorities

  • Ensuring stakeholder satisfaction through clear expectations and analytical pipeline coordination, with support from your manager, while nurturing long-term relationships through consistent delivery.

  • Contributing to the team and NIQ goals by participation in strategic internal projects

REQUIREMENTS

  • University degree or finalizing education in Business/Marketing/Economics/Statistics or related field

  • Any previous working experience with FMCG, T&D, Retail, or market research industry, as well as knowledge of NielsenIQ/Gfk data and systems would be considered a big advantage

  • An aptitude and aspirations to build trust and relationships with internal stakeholders, and to develop presentation and storytelling skills

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills

  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookup, conditional functions, conditional formatting, chart building, and formatting), PowerPoint

  • Fluent communication in English - verbal and written (at least C1 level)

  • Strong time- and workload management skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ease of working in a multicultural setting and a virtual environment

  • Ability to work both independently and as a team player

  • Interest in the FMCG, T&D, and/or Retail industry
