Job summary

Sopra Steria Polska is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer (PHP, Symfony) with French to join a French client project. You will design, develop and maintain backend services using PHP/Symfony, and contribute to API integrations and CI/CD pipelines.

Role requires EU citizenship and willingness to commute to Katowice office. Excellent French and English (B2) are essential for daily client communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience in application development and automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with PHP, Symfony, and MariaDB.
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting APIs and system integrations.
• Experience in backend and frontend development.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and software delivery processes.
• Experience with unit testing and end-to-end (E2E) testing.
• Experience with application containerization technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to create and maintain technical and operational documentation.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Proactive and detail-oriented.
• Ability to document processes and share knowledge effectively.
• Very good command of French & English (min. B2) – daily communication with the client.
• Being open to occasional business trips abroad and regular visits in our office in Katowice.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance applications and services using PHP, Symfony, and MariaDB.
• Design, implement, and support APIs and system integrations between business applications and IT platforms.
• Build and optimize backend and frontend components to meet business and technical requirements.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support efficient and reliable software delivery.
• Develop and execute unit and end-to-end (E2E) tests to ensure application quality and stability.
• Support the containerization of applications and related deployment processes.
• Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve application and integration issues.
• Create and maintain technical and operational documentation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to development, automation, and software delivery processes.
