Job summary

ALTEN Polska is seeking a Senior IT Analyst to drive business and system analysis, IT architecture, and Agile collaboration across stakeholders. You will gather requirements, design functional specs, and support architecture decisions for complex IT solutions.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in analysis, 4+ years in IT, and banking exposure. The role offers remote work within Poland with long-term cooperation and career growth.

Qualifications

• Higher education in technical or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in system, business, or process analysis.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in banking.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in IT.
• Desirable experience with backoffice systems, ATMs, payments, or related areas such as settlements and clearing.
• Knowledge of REST, SOAP, and API interfaces.
• Advanced English language proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Gathering, collecting, and analyzing business and system requirements.
• Supporting the design of functional requirements and decomposing them as needed.
• Verifying functional and mandatory system solutions.
• Implementing new IT solutions by analyzing and evaluating system and business requirements.
• Creating functional and non-functional requirement specifications, optimizing them according to IT standards.
• Preparing documentation and user stories for functional solutions, components, integrations, and data.
• Participating in system architecture design, data modeling, and process modeling.
• Maintaining and updating documentation.
• Supporting the preparation of test scenarios and their verification in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Assisting in the preparation of metrics and guidelines for monitoring and reports based on system and business knowledge.
• Initiating and leading meetings with internal and external stakeholders.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Senior IT Analyst

We seek a senior IT Analyst with strong expertise in business and system analysis, IT architecture, and Agile methodologies. The ideal candidate brings a multidisciplinary background in:

• Business and system requirements analysis
• IT architecture design and data modeling
• Agile collaboration with developers, testers, architects, and business stakeholders

You will play a key role in:

• Gathering, collecting, and analyzing business and system requirements
• Supporting the design of functional requirements and decomposing them as needed

The ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in banking
• Minimum 4 years of experience in IT
• Practical knowledge of backoffice systems, ATMs, payments, or related areas such as settlements and clearing (desirable)
• Practical understanding of regulatory issues
• Ability to gather information from stakeholders, business, and other areas
• Ability to source and process data from databases, reports, tests, and other sources
• Experience in describing requirements, decomposition, and task prioritization
• Ability to describe requirements and processes using diagrams (practical knowledge of UML, BPMN, or sequence diagrams is desirable)
• Knowledge of relational database concepts
• Familiarity with integration methods
• Practical knowledge of REST, SOAP, and API interfaces
• Experience with tools such as JIRA and Confluence
• Ability to navigate both legacy and modern systems
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Teamwork and communication skills with various stakeholders
• Independence, initiative, and practical knowledge of Agile methodologies
• Advanced English language proficiency
• Knowledge of technologies such as MQ/SOA, Kafka (event-based communication) is a plus
