Job summary

Johnson & Johnson MedTech is seeking a Sr. Manager, Industrial Hygiene (IH), to lead IH programs across regulated manufacturing environments.

You will identify, evaluate and control workplace health hazards, ensure regulatory readiness, and drive continuous improvement in IH processes. You will mentor IH and EHS teams, partner with Manufacturing, Quality, R&D and Facilities, and lead risk assessments for chemicals, particulates, noise and ergonomics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, Environmental Health, Safety Engineering, or a related scientific or engineering discipline.
• Master’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, or Environmental Health and Safety (preferred).
• CIH or equivalent certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Industrial Hygiene programs, including exposure assessment and hazard evaluation.
• Ensure compliance with IH, EHS, and occupational health regulations (OSHA, ACGIH) and internal standards.
• Serve as site and regional IH SME, guiding EHS partners, operations, and leadership.
• Lead IH risk assessments for chemicals, particulates, noise, ergonomics, and other exposures.
• Develop IH monitoring programs, data analysis, and reporting for decision-making and regulatory submissions.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, and Facilities to embed IH controls in design and change management.
• Lead audits, inspections, and incident investigations related to IH; drive CAPAs.
• Coach and develop IH/EHS staff; manage projects/teams as needed.
