Job summary

Akamai is seeking a Senior II Software Development Engineer in Test to join our QA-focused team in Krakow and collaborate with global stakeholders. You will develop automation frameworks using Java/TypeScript/Python, own end-to-end testing, and contribute to AI innovation while supporting engineers and product teams to enhance the Core platform capabilities.

You will work with Playwright or Cypress, TestNG/JUnit, and have a strong understanding of web protocols and APIs.

Qualifications

• Experience coding in TypeScript, Java or Python.
• Experience with automation testing frameworks (Playwright/Cypress) and API testing.
• Good understanding of networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, SSL).

Responsibilities

As a Senior II Software Development Engineer in Test, you will be responsible for:

• Developing automation code in Java or TypeScript to build test frameworks, improve functionality and automate testing infrastructures
• Overseeing the scope of release changes and owning the responsibility of E2E testing
• Introducing innovation from the marketplace, contributing to the broader community, and aiming for advancements in artificial intelligence innovation.
• Being a collaborative and proactive member of the teams in Krakow, US and other global teams

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have experience developing code in TypeScript, Java or Python
• Have experience in Automation Testing, Playwright or Cypress, Web API Testing, and familiarity with TestNG and/or JUnit frameworks
• Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the internet, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, HTML, and SSL protocols
• Demonstrate working knowledge of integration, end-to-end testing as well as regression testing
