Job summary

Akamai Technologies GmbH is seeking a Senior II Software Development Engineer in Test to help shape our Core platform capabilities. You will join a global QA team and develop automation code to build robust test frameworks across Java and TypeScript, enabling high quality releases.

You will own end-to-end testing, oversee release changes, and explore innovative testing approaches including AI-driven ideas, collaborating across Krakow, US, and other global teams.

Qualifications

• Have experience developing code in TypeScript, Java or Python.
• Experience in Automation Testing with Playwright or Cypress.
• Familiar with Web API Testing and TestNG/JUnit frameworks.
• Knowledge of internet protocols and testing methodologies.

Responsibilities

As a Senior II Software Development Engineer in Test , you will be responsible for:

• Developing automation code in Java or TypeScript to build test frameworks, improve functionality and automate testing infrastructures
• Overseeing the scope of release changes and owning the responsibility of E2E testing
• Introducing innovation from the marketplace, contributing to the broader community, and aiming for advancements in artificial intelligence innovation.
• Being a collaborative and proactive member of the teams in Krakow, US and other global teams

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have experience developing code in TypeScript, Java or Python
• Have experience in Automation Testing, Playwright or Cypress, Web API Testing, and familiarity with TestNG and/or JUnit frameworks
• Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the internet, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, HTML, and SSL protocols
• Demonstrate working knowledge of integration, end-to-end testing as well as regression testing
