Job summary

Akamai is seeking a Senior Software Engineer II to contribute to the Cloud Load Balancer and cloud-networking tech. You will collaborate with local and global teams to design, implement, test, and deploy scalable solutions that power our cloud platform.

You will work with Python and potentially Go or C++ while embracing code quality, and you will leverage LLMs to accelerate boilerplate generation and debugging in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals (IPv4/IPv6, TCP/UDP, TLS).
• Experience with Linux-based operating systems and building scalable software.

Responsibilities

• Develop Cloud Load Balancer and other cloud-networking technologies.
• Share experience and establish best practices with the team.
• Design, implement, test, review, document, and deploy high-quality code with cross-team collaboration.
• Collaborate with local and remote peers and global teams; leverage LLMs for boilerplate code and debugging.
