Job summary

Vention, Kraków-based global engineering partner, is seeking a Python-focused software engineer to develop reliable, scalable web solutions using Django or FastAPI. You will work across the full software development lifecycle, applying Asyncio, cloud AWS, and modern design patterns.

You’ll join a team of 200+ engineers, participate in Scrum ceremonies, code reviews, and CI improvements, with opportunities to mentor others and contribute to dev2dev sessions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on web development experience.
• Proficiency in Python and async programming (Asyncio).
• Strong Django and/or FastAPI experience.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS).
• Experience with AI-assisted software development is a plus.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
• Experience designing microservices and distributed systems is a plus.
• Ability to implement features end-to-end using TypeScript/React is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop reliable, scalable web solutions with production-ready code.
• Participate in full software development lifecycle including logic, architecture, features.
• Engage in Scrum ceremonies, demos, and Idea Talks.
• Contribute to estimation, planning, and roadmap discussions.
• Conduct code reviews and write test coverage for robustness.
• Support CI of new technologies and engineering best practices.
• Optionally mentor teammates and contribute to dev2dev sessions.

What you'll do

• Develop reliable, scalable solutions with a focus on delivering high-quality, production-ready code
• Take part in the full software development lifecycle, including application logic, architecture, and feature implementation
• Engage in team activities such as Scrum ceremonies, demo sessions, and Idea Talks
• Contribute to project estimation, technical planning, and roadmap discussions
• Conduct code reviews and write comprehensive test coverage to ensure maintainable and robust code
• Support the continuous integration of new technologies and engineering best practices
• Optionally, participate in technical interviews, mentor team members, and contribute to dev2dev sessions or external meetups

What you bring

• 4+ years of hands‑on experience in web development
• Strong proficiency in core Python and async programming with Asyncio
• Deep hands‑on experience with Django and/or FastAPI
• Solid practical experience with cloud platforms (AWS)
• Experience with AI‑assisted software development at enterprise scale (hands‑on experience with Claude, AI‑powered coding workflows, SDD)
• Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher
• Practical experience designing and building microservices and distributed systems is a significant advantage
• Ability to implement features end‑to‑end using TypeScript/React is a plus
