Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking an experienced Senior Python Engineer with cloud expertise to contribute to a strategic project for a key client. You will build scalable, secure software using Python and cloud platforms, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that accelerate digital transformation.

This role embraces a hybrid work model with three in-office days per week across our Poland locations, including Krakow, Wroclaw, Gdansk, Warsaw, Poznan, Katowice, and Lodz,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Python development experience with Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Commercial cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hands-on services.
• Cloud-native tech including Docker, Kubernetes, and serverless frameworks.
• Designing RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
• Relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB/DynamoDB).
• Solid software practices: Agile, Git, unit testing, and CI/CD tooling.
• strong analytical and problem-solving skills; good communication and teamwork.
• Nice to have experience in AI/ML technologies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality software solutions using Python for web apps, APIs, data pipelines, AI/ML models, and automation.
• Design and manage cloud architectures on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Create scalable microservices and serverless apps with cloud-native tools.
• Optimize data pipelines and workflows using Python and cloud services.
• Promote reliability and scalability with best practices, tests, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with product/ops/engineering to define requirements and features.
• Set up CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment efficiency in cloud environments.
• Address production issues and improve system performance in cloud setups.
• Keep up to date with Python trends and cloud advancements; mentor juniors.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Python Engineer with expertise in Cloud technologies to contribute to a strategic project for one of our key clients.As a Senior Engineer, you will create, enhance, and implement scalable, secure solutions utilizing Python and modern cloud platforms. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential to deliver innovative software systems addressing complex business challenges and driving digital transformation.This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring three days per week in-office at one of our locations in Krakow, Wroclaw, Gdansk, Warsaw, Poznan, Katowice, or Lodz.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of Python development experience, with a focus on libraries such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI
• Commercial background in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and hands-on experience with related services
• Competency in cloud-native technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, and serverless frameworks
• Skills in designing RESTful APIs and integrating third‑party services
• Knowledge of database technologies, including relational databases like MySQL/PostgreSQL and non‑relational databases like MongoDB/DynamoDB
• Understanding of software development best practices, Agile methodologies, Git version control, and unit testing
• Experience with CI/CD tools, including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or AWS CodePipeline
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities for tackling technical challenges
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate in team settings
