Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Associate Director - Highways Technical Specialist (Starszy Projektant Drogowy) to join our Linear Infrastructures team in Krakow. You will design and oversee highway projects from feasibility to detailed design, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams across the Americas and Australia.

Applicants should have 10+ years in highway design, CAD proficiency in MicroStation/AutoCAD, and experience with InRoads/OpenRoads/OpenRail/Civil 3D.

Qualifications

Proven track record of working on highway designs (>10 years).
Experience with international regulations (AASTHO, British Standards, etc.).
Experience in geometric design with InRoads, OpenRoads/OpenRail, Rail Track, Civil 3D, Geopak or 12d Model.
Advanced CAD skills in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
Experience in North America or Australia regions advantageous.
Advanced level of English (oral and written).

Responsibilities

Works independently on highway/linear infrastructure projects or sections.
Prepares and reviews geometric design calculations, reports, and design documents.
Applies applicable design standards and best engineering practices for highways.
Delivers engineering work per project scope, budget, and schedule.
Leads, coordinates, and prioritizes design tasks and activities.
Performs self-checks and participates in quality reviews.
Prepares and reviews drawings, calculations, reports, and specs.
Coordinates with drainage, structures, utilities, traffic engineering.
