AECOM in Kraków is seeking an Associate Director - Highways Technical Specialist to lead complex highway and linear infrastructure design projects. You will work within our Linear Infrastructures team, contributing from feasibility to detailed designs, with global clients and multidisciplinary coordination.

The role requires senior expertise in highway design, international standards, and advanced CAD tools, with hybrid work flexibility and opportunities to influence major transportation

Qualifications

• Proven track record on highway designs with 10+ years.
• Experience with international standards (AASTHO, British/Australian codes).
• Geom design experience with listed software packages.
• Advanced CAD skills in MicroStation/AutoCAD.
• Experience in NA or Australia is favorable.
• Advanced English language skills.

Responsibilities

• Works independently on projects or defined sections of highways and linear infra projects.
• Prepares and reviews geometric design calculations and reports.
• Applies relevant design standards and best practices for highways.
• Delivers engineering work within scope, budget, and schedule.
• Leads, coordinates, and prioritizes design tasks.
• Performs self-checks and participates in QA/QC reviews.
• Prepares drawings, calculations, reports, and specs.
• Coordinates design with drainage, structures and utilities.
• Identifies risks and proposes practical solutions.
