Job summary

Cthings in Warsaw develops hardware for connected devices and bespoke customer solutions. We seek a Mid/Senior Hardware Engineer to design, develop, and validate electronic hardware for embedded and IoT products, including schematic capture, PCB layouts, BOMs, and manufacturing docs.

You will define hardware requirements, evaluate components, and collaborate with software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams. Hybrid work is possible; occasional travel to clients may occur.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of digital electronics and RF modules.
• Experience designing schematics and multilayer PCBs.
• Proficient with Altium Designer.
• Understanding of power supply design, signal integrity, and EMC.
• Experience with hardware bring-up, testing, and validation.
• Ability to read datasheets and work with cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Structured problem solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electronic hardware for embedded and IoT products.
• Define hardware requirements and contribute to hardware architecture decisions.
• Create and review schematics, PCB layouts, BOMs, and manufacturing docs.
• Select and evaluate components based on tech, cost, availability, and lifecycle.
• Perform board bring-up, testing, debugging, and validation.
• Investigate hardware and system integration issues.
• Develop test plans, fixtures, and validation procedures.
• Support EMC, environmental, safety, and product certification activities.
• Collaborate with embedded software engineers during hardware development and integration.
• Participate in design reviews, project planning, and risk assessment.
• Support prototype builds, production introduction, and manufacturing issue resolution.
• Create clear technical documentation and maintain hardware designs.
• Promote quality, testing, and security practices across the team.
• Nice-to-have: experience in industrial/ automotive/ IoT devices.
• Nice-to-have: knowledge of wireless modules and embedded Linux.
