Job summary

SoftServe is seeking an experienced Go backend engineer to design and operate cloud-native platform services on Kubernetes across scalable environments. You will own the full lifecycle from architecture to production operations, collaborating with platform, infrastructure, and product teams.

You will build Kubernetes operators, implement GitOps pipelines with ArgoCD/Flux, and drive observability and reliability with Prometheus, Grafana, and SLI/SLOs while advancing distributed systems in a

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production-grade backend services.
• Hands-on Kubernetes administration in production clusters.
• Experience with Go for cloud-native apps.
• Product-oriented engineering with ownership.
• Strong knowledge of microservices and distributed systems.
• Linux, shell scripting, and operational automation.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and relational databases.
• Proficient in English; Agile/distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop cloud-native platform services with Go.
• Own end-to-end delivery, ensuring reliability and scalability.
• Collaborate with platform, DevOps, architects, and product teams.
• Build and maintain Kubernetes clusters from scratch.
• Implement GitOps delivery with ArgoCD or Flux.
• Automate infrastructure with Terraform and Ansible.
• Establish monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana; define SLIs/SLOs.
• Optimize distributed systems for high availability and performance.
• Contribute to code reviews and engineering mentorship.
