Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist for our Krakow team. You will manage end-to-end payroll for multiple entities, ensuring compliance and accuracy while coordinating with HR, Finance, and external vendors.

The role emphasizes stakeholder management, process improvements, and leadership in payroll operations, with a focus on complex and global payroll scenarios in a multinational environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Minimum 4 years of payroll experience, preferably supporting complex/global payroll for 1,000+ employees.
• Strong understanding of payroll legislation, compliance requirements, payroll controls, and reconciliation processes.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, advanced formulas, data analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience working with outsourced payroll providers and payroll systems in a multinational environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work with cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll activities for assigned countries/entities, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
• Review and validate payroll inputs for compliance with policies and statutory requirements.
• Act as a subject matter expert for complex payroll transactions and exception handling.
• Perform payroll validations and reconciliations, including gross-to-net analysis and variance analysis.
• Review outputs from external payroll vendors for accuracy and SLA adherence.
• Generate, analyze, and maintain payroll reports, metrics, and dashboards.
• Serve as a key contact for employees, HR, Finance, and external vendors on payroll matters.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end payroll activities and audits.
• Drive process improvements and document SOPs and work instructions.
• Provide training and guidance to team members and coordinate with Payroll Supervisor/Manager.
